In the US, every state has its unique licensure process. And it may seem to be difficult and impossible, but it is quite simple and requires some time. In this article, we will try to introduce that process as simple as possible to save your time and give you all the information that you need.
To get a medical license in Alaska first of all you need to fill out an application with your educational and examination results. If your application is accepted by the state board, you will get a temporary permit. After your application was completed and submitted, the next step is an interview, the state commission will invite you to the full board interview. During that, they will review your application and decide whether you are ready to practice as a full-time medical physician or not.
There are some steps that you need to do to have a good application, First of all, all the application documents should be typed or printed clearly. Second, before filling in the application read carefully the instructions and while answering think twice, remember that you are certifying that the all information that you are giving is true and correct. Then make sure that all documents have been properly certified by the notary and all seals are fixed correctly. You should provide every single document that is required in the application, otherwise, the process will be delayed.

The exam that requires the State Medical Board of Alaska is the USMLE examination series. Which has a contract with the Federation of State Medical Board. For more information about this exam connect with the Federation.
The other examination that can be equal to the USMLE examination series and be accepted by the Alaska state medical board, is a written examination that can be passed in another state or territory of the United States or province of Canada. By this examination, an applicant can be provided with credentials to a physician and can have an active license.
It doesn’t matter if you pass the written examination or the USMLE, in each part of your examinations you have to get a minimum of 75.
