You need to get your Business License before you conduct any business. There are two ways how you can obtain your Business License in Alaska: online or by mail.

Online: You will need to pay $50, and get your approval immediately.

How do I renew my Alaska business license?

You will need to renew your Alaska Business License every 1 or 2 years. It depends on your initial application. The one-year renewal fee is $50. The two-year renewal fee is $100.

If you get your Alaska Business License before October 1, it will expire on December 31 of that same year. E.g. If a Business License was obtained on August 20, 2021, it will expire on December 31, 2021.

If you get your license after October 1, it will expire on December 31 of the following year. E.g. If a Business License was obtained on October 20, 2021, it will expire on December 31, 2022.
